Darphin, professional skin care line, based on plants and essential oils, is clearly one of the best skin care brands that I know and that I use on a daily basis.

The product I prefer so far is the blemish clearing gel, that really helps to stop and heal the blemishes.  You only need to apply a small amount on the blemishes after cleaning your skin. The scent of the gel is strong yet enjoyable. It dries your spot and make your blemish disappear very fast. It’s a very efficient product!

Thanks to its products ultra-concentrated in mineral salts and the virtues of its thermal water, Uriage seduces women who are in search of quality skin care treatments.

Uriage uses a water of exception: the thermal water, famous for tis healing properties and for its therapeutic virtues. Now, Uriage offers a wide range of skin care adapted to all types of skin.

I have used Uriage Aqua Precis  face creams for about 2 years now. I just love them! The texture is really soft, it penetrates very well under the skin. After applying the cream, you feel clean and fresh. I actually have 2 versions of the cream: the crème confort and the crème fraicheur. The crème confort is more dense, the cream is slightly less liquid. I use the crème confort in winter and the crème fraicheur in summer.

Since I was a little girl, I had dry skin problems. With these creams, my skin is perfectly moisturized.

As I was mentioning in my previous post, I love Essie nail polish. However, to make sure that my nails are perfectly done, I am using the cuticle butter Lemony Flutter from Lush. This cream is super thick and rich and will make your cuticles disappear. I apply a very very very small amount of the cream on my cuticles, I massage a little bit my nails and the cuticles just go away! The texture of the cream is really soft.

The packaging is interesting, I like the fact that they remind you what’s the purpose of the cream. You will keep this cream for ages, because you only need to use a super small amount of cream to take care of your cuticles.

I am not a big fan of the smell (in my opinion, it smells like a bad lemon pie) but I am definitely keen on that cuticle cream! Really efficient and low price! To put in everyone’s hands!

I already talked about nail polish and said all the benefits of Mavala. However, I really want to write about another great brand: Essie. Both are selling excellent quality nail polish, but I would say that Mavala is more sophisticated, and Essie more young and fun.

Essie has been making magic for our nails since 1981. After receiving many awards (from Allure, Cosmo girl magazine…), Essie continues to offer us a great range of color for our nails. Essie Weingarten, president and founder of Essie Cosmetics Ltd,  has a talent to choose the right colors for nail polish.

I just love Essie nail polish. Their brush is really large so it’s super easy to use and apply on your nails. It lasts a week without any problems and does not ruin your nails.

Every time I see an Essie nail polish stand, I stay 20 minutes in front of all the colors… so many options! I already have Trophy Wife, Lilacism and Need a vacation and I am planning of buying a lot more!  The next one will be Avenue Maintain!

Yesterday, I finally bought a « matifying » cream. Having a oily/dry skin, I always struggle to have a clear skin. My T zone is always oily and shinny, but the rest is super dry.

So, I went shopping! I hesitated between Nuxe, Clarins, Avène, Bioderma… I decided to buy the one of La Roche Posay and I am glad of the results. First because I know the brand and I trust their products, and second because of the low price.

The cream is really fluid, it smells amazing, almost like raspberries, and the most important part: it works!!! You don’t need to wait to use it for 2 weeks to finally see the results. I used it yesterday after buying it, and the result is phenomenal. The oily parts of your face are perfectly mattified, and the dry parts are perfectly moisturized.

Just apply on your clean face every morning and every night.

Perfect product for oily/combination skins in need of control sebum production and a good moisturizer!

Recently, Clinique has launched in Europe its Chubby Stick Moisturizing Colour Balm, available in 16 shades. I really like the concept of using a big pencil/crayon to do your lips, it's fun, functional and very easy to use. The shades are naturals and easy to wear on a day to day basis. The packaging is amazing, it looks like a big pencil! The color of the balm is the same as the color of the pencil, the silver bottom twists to make the balm come out.

In addition, it’s not a lipstick but a lip balm, which makes it a great moisturizer, and the shade stays quiet long on your lip to give you a glossy natural look.

Recently, my grandmother (who is a beautician) offered me a sample of a face mask of Ella Baché. I tried it two days ago and the results are excellent!
 

Pharmacist, passionate about skin care, Ella Baché understood from the beginning what women needed . She used her knowledge of science to improve cosmetics. In 1936, she opened her first laboratory, where she created the most famous products of the brand:  the Tomato cream, brightness – vitamins, one of the most sold products to the world, MY EPIL, first wax on strip / band, CREAM INTEX, oils of halibut-thyme with healing virtues.

I tried the face mask, and I have to say, it absorbs all the bad things in/on your skin. You just have to apply the face mask on your face, let it dry for 10 minutes and then rinse. It cleans up your skin, reduces imperfections and inflammations, heal. I love the texture of the cream, it’s really opaque. Your skin does not have another option but to “breathe the cream”.

This intensive corrective care, targeted at the imperfections due to excess of sebum: congested skins, irritations, spots, tracks left by spots, enlarged pores…

You should definitely try one of the face care of Ella Baché! I highly recommend!!!

With its amazing little yellow jars, sticks, and squeezable tubes, your lips will be moisturized and smooth. The Carmex lip balm contains the following ingredients: menthol, camphor, phenol, lanolin, cocoa butter, salicylic acid, vitamin E, shea butter, and petroleum jelly.

Basically, it protects your lips, soothes and heals them. It’s the perfect lip balm which needs to be carried everywhere you go.

I ALWAYS had chapped lips…in summer, in winter…. All the time… Since I began to use Carmex lip balm (I use the jar, cherry flavor!!!!), my lips are perfectly moisturized.

I have discovered Avon cosmetics about a few years ago. Specialist of beauty for 125 years, Avon offers a wide range of cosmetics and I have to admit that I am
completely addicted to the Argan Oil serum.But what is exactly argan oil? According to my dear Wikipedia, “Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree, endemic to Morocco, that is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties.


It is also known in cosmetic use as moroccan oil. In cosmetics, argan oil is advocated as moisturizing oil, against [juvenile acne] and flaking of the skin as well as for [nourishing] the hair. This oil has also medicinal uses against rheumatism and the healing of burns … Externally, argan oil is used … for hair as brilliantine, to fortify and … in the treatment of wrinkled or scaly dry skin”

 
I unfortunately have really dry and out-of-control long hair. This argan oil helps me to nourish and smooth my damaged hair and  avoid dry/split ends.  After my shower, I apply 2 knobs (pat)  of the serum in the palms of my hands and I distribute it evenly on my wet hair. You can also apply it on dry hair.

According to Avon, “this exotic blend containing rare Moroccan argan oil absorbs instantly, infusing hair with moisture and shine.”

This oil smells amazing and I love its yellow/golden colour! This product is affordable; the price varies between 4 to 10 euros (depending on the promotions).

Highly recommended for dry, damaged, fragile hair!
